Outdoor Excursions
If you are able to visit the area for an extended time we offer several local excursions...

First Nations Exploration: In collaboration with Lake Babine Nation we offer a tour of historic Old Fort, one of the oldest native villages in the area. Experience the native culture of the Carrier people in their community rich with history and removed from the 21st century by it’s isolation. Meet the people, watch them fishing using traditional methods and share some bannock, a deep-fried bread. We will stop to view the rare First Nations petroglyphs along the shores and there is always wildlife to spot browsing or drinking along the shore. Did I mention there are many great fishing spots along the way?
Wildlife tour: Travel further up the lake to Fort Babine, at the mouth of the Babine River, the head waters of the Babine Corridor Park where grizzly bears roam.

Day and overnight canoe/rafting trips: Explore the area at a leisurely pace from lake to lake via adjoining rivers, traveling as the early explorers did. Paddle past shallow bays with solitary moose feeding on lily pads and into the next piece of heaven on Earth. A boat will meet you to bring you for another fantastic Canadian fishing adventure, then return you to your cabin.

Our knowledge of the area guarantees informative, successful and enjoyable journeys.
